EDITORIAL
(Poised for Growth)

First and foremost, let me say that all praised are due to God Almighty for the countless blessings that he has bestowed upon us. We hope and pray that he continues to shower us with happiness, health and prosperity as we embark on this mission to build a future for ourselves and all those who will come behind us.

Congratulations to Stop Shootin Inc. for winning the Beautiful Newark "One Day" contest by a landslide victory and, walking away with  the $10,000 prize. We humbly would like to congratulate all those wonderful people and organizations that participated in this endeavor to help make Newark a cleaner more beautiful place to live.

Our gratitude is very strong to all of our friends and supporters who voted for us and those who continue to help and support us in our efforts to provide quality services and support to the people of our community. Moreover, thanks to The Newark Public Schools, Hon. Mayor Cory Booker, Newark Now and The League for awarding us the opportunity to participate in this campaign.

We would like to assure everyone that this money will be used for the sole purpose of improving our organization and the expansion of our services to a wider base of constituents. Some of the things we will use this money for are as follows:

                 * The completion of our 501(c)3 Tax  
                     exempt status

                 * Stop Shootin Van (which will be
                   useful in transporting kids to the
                   various trips we are planning for 
                   them)

                 * The expansion of our very popular  
                    Clothing and accessory line.

                 * A portion will go into a savings
                   account which will be for the sole
                   purpose of the creation of our
                   building renovation fund. ( a very
                   gracious supporter of ours has
                   pledged to donate a section of his
                   property to us to use as a community
                   center)

To God be the Glory.....Surely only he could orchestrate such a powerful movement. We are just blessed that we are the vehicle  through which it could come .
